hippies from the day
‘peace’, ‘love’, and ‘no war’ abound,
jaded at present
we should go back to
the Earth-loving ways of old
to save tomorrow
recycle, reuse,
reduce waste and resource use,
remember nature
the things we should do
to help make a better world,
arm-in-arm we’ll stand
we can save the world
for them, our children’s children,
one step at a time

Something of a variety show... minus the host, music, magic, ventriloquist, and show parts.

ReplyDeleteI love this. I love do haiku "sets" and have done many. This melds the need for "green" with the form that celebrates nature. Well done. Thanks. Gay
ReplyDeleteHaiku always make me smile. I have a dream someday of actually playing a full round of renga at a party somewhere...
ReplyDeleteYes! We most definitely can!
ReplyDeleteWe could, but I'm not sure we can, not as long as there are powerful protectors of profits hiding behind politicians protecting power.
ReplyDeleteThinking globally and acting locally can make a difference. It is raising the consciousness of the whole that is a stumbling block. As is greed. It won't stop me from doing my part and setting an example. Great One Stop.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's sufficient just to stand. Enjoyed this.
ReplyDeletea true message... we ALL need to come together to help keep the world a clean, enjoyable place to live!
